Clinical Model

Physician Governance. One Standard of Care.

Selkirk Center is built on a straightforward principle: when physicians own and lead the institution, clinical decisions remain clinical. Protocols are written by the people executing them. Governance reflects the expertise of those delivering care.

Our model integrates the full arc of care within a single facility, under a single clinical philosophy, governed by the physicians who deliver it. One electronic health record. One governance structure. One point of accountability.

Transparent pricing, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and a facility designed around patient flow and clinical efficiency distinguish Selkirk from the conventional system hospital model. This is not a converted wing or a leased suite, it is a purpose built institution.

"When physicians set the standard of care, and bear direct accountability for it, the alignment between clinical excellence and institutional culture becomes self reinforcing."

Clinical Program

Comprehensive. Physician Governed.

Selkirk Center is designed to support a broad range of surgical and clinical specialties under one governance structure. The clinical program is being built in close collaboration with recruiting physicians, and will reflect the depth and range of the team assembled.

Specific service lines, clinical protocols, and program scope are discussed directly with physician candidates as part of the recruitment conversation. We are not publishing a fixed service list, because the program will be shaped by the physicians who choose to own and build it.

If you practice surgery or a clinical specialty and you are interested in the ownership model, the conversation starts with a confidential email.

Facility Program

Built for Clinical Function

The planned facility is designed from the inside out, workflows, clinical adjacencies, and infection control standards drive the architectural program. Patient experience and operational efficiency are treated as the same objective.

Surgical Platform

A multi OR surgical platform configured for the full range of surgical procedures the clinical program requires, with infrastructure supporting the latest minimally invasive techniques.

Inpatient Beds

Inpatient beds designed around postpartum, postsurgical, and short stay recovery, with room configurations that accommodate family and support the patient experience throughout the stay.

Labor & Delivery

Private LDR suites with the infrastructure to support normal delivery, monitored high risk cases, and operative birth, all within the same clinical environment, without transport between areas.

Ambulatory & Outpatient

Outpatient clinical space for consultations, pre and post procedure care, and ongoing patient management, integrated with the inpatient facility to maintain continuity of the care record and the care team.

Governance

Physician Led. Physician Owned.

Selkirk Center is structured as a physician owned institution from its founding. Governance authority rests with the physician owners, not a corporate board, not an integrated health system, and not a private equity manager. Clinical policy, quality standards, and institutional direction are set by the people delivering care.

This governance structure reflects a deliberate choice: that the people with the deepest expertise in patient outcomes should hold the final authority over the environment where those outcomes are produced. Investors and strategic partners support and participate in this institution within that framework.
